How to Get Hu Tao in Anime Zero: Bath House Raid Guide
The October 5 Flame Director update added Anime Zero’s first raid, a Spirited Away-themed bathhouse, and with it the second Lyth weapon in the game: Paramita Pyre, Hu Tao’s moveset from Genshin Impact. She is not on the summon banner. The raid is the only way to get her.
How to get Hu Tao, step by step
- Redeem the two update codes. NEWRAID (level 50) and SORRYFORDELAY (level 25) give Trait Rerolls, coins and gems. They can also be claimed from the in-game Updates panel.
- Open Create Lobby and choose Raid. The lobby portal is labelled BathTub. The raid runs on Nightmare only.
- Clear it. Every clear rolls the drop table below and advances the raid pity.
- Repeat until she drops. Paramita Pyre is guaranteed by your 35th clear. MK got her in about five clears on video; TrickyRBLX cleared the raid solo.
Drop table
| Drop | Chance per clear | Guaranteed by |
|---|---|---|
| Paramita Pyre (Hu Tao) | 2% | Clear 35 |
| Staff of Homa | 25% | Clear 5 |
| Ghost (1-3 per drop) | 33% | No pity shown |
Rates are read from the raid lobby screen in Ashira’s and TrickyRBLX’s October 5 videos. A clear also pays coins and gems; one readable screen showed roughly 22,000 coins and 450 gems.
The “0.02%” in some video titles is wrong. That was a guess before the update; she is a 2% raid drop.
Your chance of owning her climbs like this: 10% after 5 clears, 18% after 10, 33% after 20, 50% by clear 34, and 100% on clear 35.
The raid, phase by phase
You climb the floors of the bathhouse, riding elevators between them, and finish against No Face. Each player has three lives.
- Phase 1: spikes you cannot block. Move out of them; guarding does nothing. This is why invincibility frames matter here.
- Phase 2: waves of adds. The developers added two extra waves to this phase shortly after launch, so it is longer than early videos show.
- Phase 3: shadow clones. Below half health No Face splits into clones. Stay mobile and focus the real one.
One player in the comments reports standing on the walls with Cursed King so No Face cannot reach them. Treat that as a trick that may get patched.
What to bring
- Cursed King (Sukuna) is the creators’ pick because its skills give invincibility frames, letting you attack through the spikes. Pair it with Immortal Sovereign for +10% damage. See the Sukuna guide.
- No Cursed King? Use your best damage weapon and the health synergy (Rubber Man + Divine Emperor, +15% max health) to survive mistakes.
- Party size limits have not been published.
Paramita Pyre evolution materials
Evolving unlocks her ultimate on G. The evolution screen in MK’s, Frigid’s and YukiSw’s videos shows three materials:
- about 20 of a common silver, ingot-like material
- about 8 of a red raid item that matches the Staff of Homa icon
- 25 Ghosts
The item types are clear; the counts are read from low-resolution frames. Both raid items only drop in the raid and cannot be crafted. Frigid found Ghosts the slower of the two, so expect to keep clearing after she drops. More on the evolution menu in the evolution guide.
Is Paramita Pyre worth farming?
Yes. It costs nothing but time, unlike Cataclysm’s 3,500-spin pity.
- Strengths: burning multi-hit basic attacks, the best wave clear in the game, and an ultimate that summons a ghost to slam enemies.
- Weakness: no invincibility frames on any skill, so bosses punish greedy combos.
- Ranking: top tier on our tier list, alongside Cursed King and Cataclysm. Valentless puts her at Meta; Aruzien thinks she is overrated.
- Title: Valentless reports a Paramita Pyre title (+15% damage, +20% health and more) for beating the raid boss with Hu Tao without using her ultimate. Single source so far. See titles.
Hu Tao or Fire of Misfortune?
Before the update, one fan wiki called the new unit “Fire of Misfortune” and expected a summon banner. The live game names the weapon Paramita Pyre and makes it a raid drop. Same character.
Noted. Good luck on your next pull.
