Anime Zero Beginner Guide: Your First Hour, Step by Step
Anime Zero throws a lot of menus at you in the lobby: Codes, summon banner, Enchant, Skill Tree, Crafting, Traits, Titles, Areas. Only a few matter in your first hour. This is the order that wastes the fewest resources, based on the October 5 build (Update 1, Flame Director).
1. Redeem every code first
Press the Codes button on the right side of the lobby and paste each code from our codes list. Together they give about 1,360 Lucky Spins, 300 Rolls, 970 Trait Rerolls, 306,000 Coins and 16,000 Gems. Two codes are level-locked (SORRYFORDELAY at level 25, NEWRAID at 50), so note them and come back.
Do this before anything else, because every spin you redeem counts toward the weapon pity.
2. Fill both weapon slots
You carry two weapons into every run and swap between them with T. The weapon you swap in deals +20% damage for 4 seconds, and two weapons together always get at least +5% damage from synergy. An empty second slot throws both bonuses away.
Spin the banner until you have two weapons you like. Pity guarantees:
- Mythic at 175 spins (Dragon Eclipse, Lights of Divinity, Immortal Sovereign)
- Arcane at 350 (Cursed King, Divine Emperor)
- Lyth at 3,500 (Cataclysm)
With the codes alone you will pass the Mythic pity several times. Check which pair to aim for on the tier list and the synergy guide.
3. Enchant Power, ignore the rest for now
Enchants add stats on top of a weapon. Power is the plain damage enchant and the standard first pick. Hunter, Bloodlust and Supernova are later chases; nobody has published their values, so do not burn Gems hunting them yet. More in crafting and enchants.
4. Spend your first skill token on damage
Each weapon has its own skill tree with Attack, Crit, Defense and Speed branches. Tokens come from leveling and from using that weapon. The first Attack node is the best value for a single token. See the skill tree guide for the crit caps that matter later.
5. Clear Story on Easy, then climb
Open Create Lobby, pick Story, a map (Sakamoto or HxH), an act and a difficulty. The queue screen previews the materials each act drops.
| Difficulty | Enemy HP | Story clear pays |
|---|---|---|
| Easy | 0.85x | 1,500 coins, 50 gems |
| Normal | 1.3x | 3,000 coins, 100 gems |
| Hard | 1.6x | 6,000 coins, 200 gems |
| Nightmare | 2x | 15,000 coins, 350 gems |
Easy is for learning controls. Move to Normal as soon as clears feel safe and to Hard once you have a Mythic and a damage enchant. The modes guide covers Infinite and Defense too.
Combat basics that save runs
- M1 basic attack, skills on 1-3, Q to dash, G for the ultimate once the weapon is evolved.
- Block drains a guard bar that breaks if you soak too much. A perfect block costs no guard and knocks the enemy back.
- Only two enemies can attack you at once. Fight in corridors and pull packs together before using area skills.
- Rubble walls in HxH take at most 30% damage per hit, so do not waste ultimates on them.
6. Set up your free income
- Quests and achievements pay spins, gems and materials. Claim them after every session.
- AFK chamber: 10 coins a second, 50 gems every 2 minutes and a Lucky Spin every 15 minutes, but only while you are inside. End every session there. Rates in the AFK chamber guide.
- Evolve your main weapon as soon as you have its materials: the ultimate is the biggest single power jump. See the evolution guide.
Common first-day mistakes
- Spending Trait Rerolls before you know which weapon you will keep. A reroll only changes the weapon you have equipped.
- Staying on Easy too long. Nightmare pays 10 times the coins.
- Buying VIP before 2X Drop Rate. If you spend Robux at all, the 2X pass does the most.
- Following an old video link to the wrong place. The live game is place 114574503491412 by LY*. If it is not showing up, read why Anime Zero goes missing.
Noted. Good luck on your next pull.
