Anime Zero Cataclysm (Miyabi): Odds, Pity and Evolution

Anime Zero shows weapons by title instead of character name, which is why people search for “Anime Zero Miyabi” and find nothing called Miyabi in game. Cataclysm is Miyabi. It is the rarest weapon you can pull from the summon banner.

If you searched “Anime Zero catalyst”, that is a mishearing of Cataclysm. There is no Catalyst weapon.

Odds and the 3,500 pity

LY* has not published rates. The best number available is the summon panel TrickyRBLX showed after Update 1, which lists Cataclysm at 0.01% (one in 10,000). Whether that is the rate for regular Rolls, Lucky Spins or both is not confirmed. Launch-week titles said 0.0001%; the panel contradicts that.

At 0.01% per spin, the chance of pulling Cataclysm before pity is about 30%. Most players get it from the guarantee. The Lyth pity has moved three times:

• Launch: about 3,000 Lucky Spins (Zenless)
• October 2: Miyabi set to 12,500 by mistake, cut to 3,500 the same day (the BIGTYPO code was the apology)
• October 4: briefly 3,750 Lucky Spins only, then rolled back to 3,500, every spin counts

How long 3,500 spins takes

The AFK chamber pays one Lucky Spin every 15 minutes, 96 a day. On that alone, 3,500 spins is about 36.5 days of non-stop idling. The 20 current codes put you about 1,660 spins in, and quests and gem purchases cut the rest. Use the pity calculator with your own counter.

How to evolve Cataclysm

1. Collect 4 Soul Fragments. This comes from gameplay footage; LY* has not published recipes.
2. Check the queue screen in Create Lobby for which act or mode drops them.
3. If five runs in a row miss, material pity guarantees the drop on the next.
4. Open Areas, go to the Evolution NPC and evolve.

One player reports the evolve button showing “4/6 requirements” even with all the items. The evolution check includes more than materials (players have mentioned titles and levels), so read every line of the requirement list before assuming a bug. Details in the evolution guide.

Evolving unlocks the ultimate on G. Players who evolved it on stream also show a lobby aura and bigger effects.

How good is it?

• Strengths: short cooldowns and multi-hit skills; it topped the Discord admin’s tier list before Update 1.
• Weaknesses: no invincibility frames, so raid bosses punish it. One commenter who pulled it after 400 Lucky Spins called its area small and its damage below Sukuna’s.

Best partner

Equip Lights of Divinity (Saber) in your second slot for the official pair: +8% speed and -5% cooldowns. It is a Mythic, so you will usually own it long before Cataclysm. Without it, any second weapon still gives +5% damage. All pairs are in the synergy guide.
